To Divide, Or Not To Divide.

The first couple of weeks, fish will always be kinda funny. It's seriously great he has a place, though, it will definitely help with his security. Adding plants definitely helps - bettas aren't fond of open spaces, etc...

idk, it was like one moment "ew, plants, too muh work." then all of a sudden "Plants..will look...pretty......." hahahaha

As for the one sided thing - I've heard of them doing that, but not sure exactly why... do you think it's because of the platy on the other side? Well bettas are definitely territorial. It may be because of the other fish, it's saying "This is my side grrrrrrrrrr", which is probably also why he chased him insanely out of the hidey-hole.

I'm getting suuuuuuch a bad case of MTS right now ;___; I want more tanks...*breaths heavily* but I can't. Yet. lol. I'm seriously going to go crazy over the summer.
LoL kk.
Yeah, Idk about the one sided thing.
LoL I'm sure you will work it out. I'm trying to thing of a solution......but cannot LoL.
Luckily, I am a clean freak, and very organized. I cannot stand clutter. So my room has.....lots of room LoL.
The only thing I can think of is.....find room, which is hard lol.
I wish I had another betta. :-(
Exept, I, do not have the desire to divide my tank.
And I, for some odd reason, want a female betta. I think they are cute.

I'd love to try a female betta sorority in the future.... but can't trust myself yet. I think I got all the FACTUAl stuff down, but idk... I don't want them to die or anything lol

Ahhhh my room is pretty small. I could make room, if I moved my bed. But two issues:
1) I don't spend time in my room. Sometimes I don't even sleep in my room LOL.
2) It's the coldest room in the house D:< So that's unappreciated. I'm always thinking where I could put another tank...
it's possible...I could make room in the piano room... oh geez, it would look gorgeous there once I get rid of some of my family's stuff (lol, I'm so selfish). I'd need a stand but... I don't spend a lot of time there either!! THen I'd have a tank upstairs and downstairs, and I would be divided where to hang out. haha

Yeah. I just....idk. Like female betta's I guess LoL.
I dont think my betta likes me. He always swims in his hole when I come. Well. Aclimation.
My room is...medium sized. My gma moved in to my house when I was 10, and moved into my bros room, and my bro moved upstaires to a giant room, but i dont want it because ive seen bugs up there, and thats a no go lol. And its extremely cold. (40 degress F at the moment)
So after my gma....passed on.....(in the hospital) I moved into her room, which is my bros old one.
LoL.
Its roomy enough for me.
LoL.
I cant get the betta sorority out of my head!!!!
Ahk!!!!
:grr: :grr: :grr: :grr:
Why why why must I have this idea!?

Awww, he'll love you later, I promise! (Since you'll be the one feeding him *insert evil laugh* lol :p )

RIP, your grandma <3

 That's a scary temperature.

MTS... the biggest disease in the world, lol ;)

Si, that's why I cohse to live in ym comfy tempuratured room.
He nev er comes to the surface to eat. I've never seen him eat before.
But, apparently, he is. Ya know.
Yeah.
LoL yeah.
How do your betta's act?

W-what... do you see him eat? Lol. Don't let the pellets fall down and rot and etc, that's icky D:

I need an aquarium stand. Pronto. Rofl, maybe if I put in a stand in the piano room, I would hang out there more and actually practice piano a little more :p

My bettas are fine now. They still go and see each other every so often (right now there are. Lol) but no more flaring, or fighting, or tailbiting. Red seems to be curious about the gravel.... it's weird. He looks into the gravel, pushes into like as if he wants to move a rock or something? It's cute, don't think I should be CONCERNED. BUt he's his usual "give me food" self when I come up. As for Blue, his tail is healing nicely, I'm content. Hungry as ever, fierce as ever, lol. I think he starts the fights first.

I leave the food in and in a minute its gone when I come back.
Hm. Are they active?
Like constantly swimming?
I'm thinking about removing my platy for a day or two to see if my betta does better. If he does, I might remove my platy permantently.

Idk, I think you should watch if he eats it - pellets tend to swell up and sink after a while. Could be a minute, who knows.

And yup, constantly active, constantly swimming, unless sleeping.

I guess you could try that, I definitely don't see any harm. However, it might even be a bit dangerous for the platy once you put him back in. If you want to remove, it depends on how long he's out... like, if he's out for a while, then the betta will claim the 5 gallon as his territory as his own, and not accept the platy again. Or if it's too short of a time, you might not notice a difference, when he actually might prefer being on his own.

Rofl, fishkeeping. More complicated than it seems ;)

ay aya ay.
Well maybe my platy just needs to get another tank. And my betta can happily live. Or maybe his personality is just like that.

Well idk, i'd still give it a week or two. personally, i'd just take the platy out, but that's just me, you know?
Yeah, I am gonna give him another week or two to see how it goes. And then...maybe take my platy out? but I have no where else to put him!!!
Ahk.
