Tips For Colorful Tropical Tank

I would like advice on fish to add to a tropical tank. I want color, variety and room for growth. I would like to be able to see my fish grow. I am planning on getting a tall tank to accommodate the different swim levels. What i really want is to have color variations and fish that will get larger than a few inches.

German Blue Rams are quite colourful, though not the biggest fish out there. Perhaps a Pearl Gourami, they are pretty.

Ellioti cichlids? really peaceful with most other fish, really colourful and grow to about 7-8'
there are also hundreds of colourful plecos you can get, prices range a lot too

Ive just bought some rainbow cichlids which are pretty
Courful, also consider rainbow fish, geophagus', salvini cichlid is a stunner, blue acaras, to name but a few.
