tiny bugs

I put a new piece of cuttelbone in my tank the other day and I let it float at the top of my tank. I looked at it today and it has these tiny bugs all over it. The bugs are also on my duckweed. Are these harmful to my fish?

aphids are normally pests on terrestrial plants, so they can't "live" in your tank.

Can you get a clearer photo? Its hard to see exactly what they are

Okay I think these are just midges. Harmless, they lay eggs in water, fish will eat the larvae happily
