Hey guys! The tank I'm going to be buying for my male betta is a similar size to a tank i already have im unsure how many litres both tanks hold but heres the tank i already have, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Geo-Maxi-Large-Plast...id=p3286.c0.m14
Even though this tanks alright i'm still buying the other tank as it comes with a filter and air pump and its nicer looking but i cant afford the tank till about a week or 2 after ive bought the fish, is the red tank alright temporarily and is that size tank ok anyway as i think the other tank is a similar size?
Also this tanks just £10 including gravel, net, food and filter and pump i dont have anymore money for a bigger tank. At christmas willh opefully upgrade. Thanks for reading.

According to the aquarium calculator its 28l - taking of the lid and stuff I'd say its 25l - a perfect size :)

Just measured my small red tank properly and accurately and its:
US Gallons: 3.39
UK Gallons: 2.82
The fish isnt going in the red tank its going in one im buying thursday, i think the tanks are very similar size will have to measure up when the tanks set-up. At christmas this male will be moving to a 21L tank which i have but its in use til then.

Meh, that's a fine size, touch on the small size but definately in the parameters of good XD I don't see any problem with having a boy in that tank for an indefinite amount of time really :) (As long as heated and filtered ofc, but I know you know that so XD)

In Us Gallons it works out to be 12.45L & in Uk Gallons works out to be just over 10L Not ideal, I know but it should do for a few months! I just hope my boy will still be happy in a tank of that size, but the new tank may be bigger than the red one so i'll look forward to measuring lol! :D

On the kids tank section in P@H they do a 14 litre with a filter for £11.99. if you just want a cheap one for a short while.

I doubt the measurements are wrong - they do these tanks in lots of different sizes, this one is the large one. Maybe yours is small or medium?

Yeah, your probably right! Never knew they did small and large etc in this type of tank but they prob do! Will be getting the £10 one i think, but somone else told me of a £12 one thats 14L from the same place so unsure atm.

I havent been well all week and these last few days ive been my worst, im suffering with a head cold, feeling dizzy and sick its horrid so my mum got the tank while she was out it works out to be similiar size to the other its 2.87G i know it seems small its a nice little tank and if the betta i get isnt happy then i will get it a bigger tank but right now ill see how this tank goes it was a great offer, £10 it came with a brilliant air pump, fish food, a small net, very nice background for the back of the tank and it has a tiny plant lol! :D I love it, sometime tomorrow im setting it up and getting the betta saturday as im not well enough to go tomorrow. Pics when done :)

Aw get well soon hon, make suer you rest up and sure your betta will be happy xx
thanks :) from the minute i wake up til tea time im watching telly, it gets boring after a while but thats all i feel like doing. Hopefully tomorrow i'll be ok to buy a new boy who'll cheer me up!
