I use that particular one. You just squeeze the blue part and it starts the siphon. An absolute doddle to use. Don't even need to move it around much for the waste to lift from the sand. From my own personal point of view it makes cleaning really easy. Love it !!

I used to have a plain siphon but spent more time sucking out the contents as I didn't get the flow right in the beginning. With this one you just stick the end in the tank, squeeze the blue bulb a few times and away you go. It's so easy to use. It should come with two end attachments. Use the one that has small holes in the bottom of it or the other that has no cover over the bottom will end up sucking up loads of the sand. All I do is very gently move it in small circular movements just above the sand, although most of the time a few little backwards and forwards movements is enough for the muck to lift up with very little sand coming up along with it.

Well a good easy way to start the syphon is to suck on the end that goes in the bucket.

and sometimes you don't take it out of your mouth quick enough!

normally with me its theres a bit of water left in the tube which i dont notice, straight into my mouth
