Thinking Of Going Brackish

Hey all, i recently bought a 36l aquaone 320T for the better half to try get her more involved with fishkeeping.... fail. I have now taken over the tank and have decided it would be quite neat to keep some puffers in it, but i havent the foggiest clue on how to start up a brackish system!

any help please?

Hi, I think that you tank is a little small to house any of the brackish Puffers, a Figure of Eight needs a minimum of 15 usg [around 90litres] when grown. Go and have a look in the Brackish section for more info :good:

The Aqua One 620T holds ~130l, not 36l, last time I checked mine in the front room!

If the filter is already cycled, you can apprently do daily water changes with brakish water to acclimitise the bacterial colony to brackish water over the space of a week.

The 620t does hold 130 litres... but he never said he had a 620t... he said the 320t.

How about freshwater puffers Matt?

And where have you been for the last month?

i've been having a life

haha, i did consider some dwarf puffers, but would want to keep my bamboo and armoured shrimp in the tank if i took the freshwater option. Ive heard alot of horror stories with mixing shrimp and any puffer.

The 620t does hold 130 litres... but he never said he had a 620t... he said the 320t.
