Thinking Of Building My Own Tank

well perhaps 6mm is fine, i mean if people with 6mm 4x2x2 can vouch for that maybe its possible, but i guess there's a reason 4x2x2 generally comes in 10mm and even 12mm

good luck with it, i think Hull might be a bit far for N&D but they are a class act, VERY highly recommended by everyone i know that has used them, including me

i think 10mm and 12 is a safty precaution esptially if u have kids i hope im right any way lol

i will scout about to see if i can get one made and deliverd to hull first
but my last option will be to build my own but i will do more reserch before attempting it and ill let every one know how it goes

sure would be exciting to build your own,

everytime you watch your fish, you can think "i built their home" i think that would be a nice feeling.

and its nice to have a "project"

If i was satisfied i could do it to the same safety as a decent company (like ND) and my house wouldnt be covered in 500 litres of water, i would probably be even willingto spend a little bit more just to do it myself (if i had the time and patience)

change of plans i found a glass company that did 10mm glass but it would cost me £480 for the glass and £598 for toughend glass so iv found a company aswell thats will build and deliver a 4ftx2ftx2ft tank for £255 so its cheaper to get one built

8ft wide, 2ft sides and about 3 foot height, would the galls be 12mm or more? i was thinking 15mm to be safe but i dont know.
