http://www.aquariumsdelivered.co.uk/catalo...ack-p-2757.html sorry am a bit thick dont know how to paste the link so you click on it im afraid you will need to copy/paste. ( sorry folks pain in the backside i know ) but basicly if somebody could take a look and let me know if the filter that comes with this tank is any good or not i would appreciate it. im thinking of getting a tetratec ex1200 but obviously if i dont have to spend 65 quid on it then thats money that can be spent on other stuff for the aquarium. so can somebody tell me which is the best option please??

many thanks

mark

mate why dont you have a look into second hand? i always buy second hand and you should get something like that for around 100 pounds and could be lucky enough to have the tank already matured

cos im a snob lol!! no seroiously tho its a prezzie from my missus and i have a 600 quid budget also with new i get warranty on the tank heater lights etc and its going in my living room so i want it looking all nice and shiny and new but is that filter any good?

also i can get this delivered free and it has to be black to fit in with my living room and i am finding it really hard to find good black tank/cabinets plus i can only fit a 4 foot in the area i have for it and this is the biggest capacity 4 foot tank in the right colour i can find. just not sure about the filter

i have 2 of the aquaone cf1000 filters and i find them great so i would imagine the cf1200 would be just as good but pump more water! :good: if it was me i wouldnt change the filter for a tetratec

ok great thanks. can i just queery something tho it states tank volume as 290 litres but when i worked it out it came out at 386.4 is the 290 the usable volume after decoration etc or am i working it out wrong tank is 120x46x70 cm i multiplied these and divided by 1000

of course duh!!! must be having a blonde day forgot about the bowfront

  no worries mate :good:

my advise would be to have a look around some of your lfs for a tank, i got mine cheaper because it was "damaged" (couple of tiny scratch's on the trim, can't see them unless your looking for them)

have looked in all of my lfs at tanks theres nothing as good as this availiable plus this has the added convenience of delivery

have toyed with that idea checked em out on the same site that fella used but a 4x2x2 came in at just a tad over 400 plus 40 for delivery so by the time i add lights/heater/filter etc works out more expensive this tank is on special offer reduced from 625 to 425 and has everything i need apart from substrate c02 plants etc

ok :good: sounds like i dont like it doesnt it,,,hehe it is very nice, i just couldnt justify to my wife to spend that much money on a tank....
your wife must be super women,,,my wifes amazing but thats her one flaw, but i do have a 5ft/2ft/2ft... :hey:
