First, you need to find out the GH and pH of your tap water. You have fish in the tank that must have moderately hard or harder water (livebearers). Plus, you have too many for this tank. They will if healthy grow, and mollies attain 3-5 inches, platies a bit less. This is going to really push things in a basic 20g tank.
You may be able to get the GH and pH from your water authority, check their website, or call them. For GH get the number and their unit of measurement.
Cories OK, if one of the common species (until we know the GH). A group of five or six is needed.
