It really sucks that they don't speak our language but that's the way it is. Anyway, we learn their personalities soon enough and we know what they would be saying to us when we are with them.
Like my female Betta Christy. She loves two things; Food and the little boy Betta Puppy in the tank right next to hers. When I try to give her quality time she talks to me for sure. As I stare close at her and say things like "How's my little girl today". She says things like:
Oh jeez here we go again. He's going to talk to me before he gives me the food. Why can't he just give the food now and talk to me while I'm eating it. Surely he sees me in the spot where he puts the food in the tank. Just give me the food already.

I'll tell you how I am. See these vertical bands on my body? They mean I want to be in the same tank with Puppy. Stop torturing me and put me in with him before I get egg bound. Jeez. You see me flirting with him all day. You see him flirting back. Would you get a clue already and put us together... Humans! You can't eat them, and you can't eat without them.
