My vieja Synspila has just arrived, now acclimatising, will upload some pics once he/she is settled :hyper:

Looking a little dark as expected from his travels, but in good condition and a little larger than expected.

Ah fantastic :D Your postman really does know you lol :p

Blimey that was early! looking forward to pics

And apparently waiting to acclimatise isnt his thang, so whilst I was out the room, he pushed it downwards and escaped :hyper:

So here he is, already merrily swimming around, claiming the entire tank as his :fun:

haha awesome :) Sounds like a character already

Seems a good size next to the tetra, I hope he/she and the texas will get on ok.

yeah he's about 3", so the 3" tex will be about the right size, if it all goes pear shaped, i will soon move the Tex!!

 I know you will, I had a quivering bottom lip last night at the thought of one of my babies going, silly booga I am. Will pm you later with what time we should get to you tomorrow. x

Hope your Vieja behaves for you :p , won't be to hard to rehome if you have to, my alpha male Vieja Argentea was so beautiful but so nasty! i think the only fish that could take one on is a Parachromis Dovii!

IMO if you get a nuts Vieja hes either gonna steal the tank to himself or will mix with stuff like Festae (Red Terror), Parachromis species (although it may be to tough for Jags and RTM's...i'm not sure on your particular species because never kept one), Tilapia Butterkoferi, Midas etc

Thanks nelly, wow, beautiful vieja's there, was the blue a Texas or a JD, looked Tex to me, gorgeous anyway

Definately Texas I think, blimey they are so gorgous full grown, Is that a gold serv in there too???

It is indeed a gold Severum, had to look again, didnt even notice it the first time. Which makes me wonder...... :hey:

How's catching my Tex going? I wont try to get the Keyholes until you get here :S

Yes I spotted the gold serv and my mine went crazy thinking I could keep my texas after all lol. Havent started catching yours yet, still waiting for the kids to get dressed!! they have got that blooming sponge bob on the telly again and I cant disturb the tank yet because all the fish are watching it too

So far the Tex's havent gone crazy, so you could get away with it, particularly as you have more than one, they would likely spread any aggression between themselves and leave the Sev's alone.

Im thinking I might put the Vieja and Tex in the 400 with Harry, the bichirs and giant danios and move everything else to the trigon :fun: The trigon would then be overstocked, but doable.

Now turn off spongebob (easier said than done I know) and get netting  Will get the kettle on when you get here, my little man is eagerly awaiting the kids to play with
