I did end up returning Heinkel, since I bought this spawn sibling of his and he absolutely would not tolerate her in his tank. :(
I wanted to keep him, but can't afford to buy him his own tank right now... at least not with the fear that his sibling might also need a tank all its own later, too. Maybe no one will buy him and I can buy him back when I have the resources ^_^

Anywho, I chose to keep Marie Antoinette rather than Heinkel because, although Heinkel was the prettier of the two, she seems to have a sweeter disposition so far. The oscar tolerates her much better than he did Heinkel, and she even swims around with the clown loaches like she's one of them! Last night I caught her resting on top of the bichir . The bichir didn't seem to mind/notice.

Her favourite spot, behind the rock

such a gorgeous fish.very cute face.sorry about your other midas/parrot
but i think you did the right thing in getting rid of the older fish.she looks very pretty.thats a very happy fish

It is a beautiful piece. So sad his tail been chop off by breeder. I think this is not a parrot mixed midas. It is a red devil mixed midas. I have one to show you.

It wasn't. There's no gap between the dorsal and anal fins at the back, meaning it was almost certainly bred that way. It's a mutation which some breeders are breeding for nowadays.
Edit: In fact, I just noticed that her fins overlap a little at the back.

For those who were wondering (in another thread) how she swims without a tail, I uploaded a video. ;)
