That's my problem with Platys, if they aren't making babies they're fighting with each other. He's probably being bullied & unfortunately he probably won't last long like that. I couldn't even keep 2 lousy Platys in Zach's tank without one beating on the other. When these final 2 Platys go they won't be replaced. I never understood how folks can keep 5 or 10 males in a tank together without problems. We only had three males and one bullied the other two. We moved the bully out & the other two started fighting...............

I got into fish keeping to relax, not watch some fish get bullied to death.
Well, the adults are only sparring when I make changes in the tank.
But this is a freaking tiny fry, getting bullied by an even smaller fry and another one that's almost as big as he is. I don't get how that tiny thing can actually bully him, but it does. It won't let him sit under the fern leaves for long.

I don't have two adult males though but I've had before (a red one with black tail and a black one and an orange one I think). They got along well, but the black one decided to explore a snail shell and died in the shell... -.- Because a hoplo turned the shell over and got him stuck.
I also had a case of males fighting it out and probably killing the weaker male (it was a case of sneaker male going mad, as it was one HUGE male).

Oddly, Sushi appears to be female so I don't know why that fish is attacking Ninja (who is most likely male as he's courting Sushi). And my adult females are attacking my adult male too lol, poor guy, now he keeps a distance from the ladies.

Too much drama with livebearers.......one per tank sorts that all out.

Hey Lovelies!
Golden time is almost here, ie kids bedtime. Bless.....
It has rained here all day.
Hope everyone is well!

Hey Lovelies!

Happy 4th of July Eve!

Hey Lovelies!!!

Lost a guppy over the weekend.. Did a water change, things seem to be ok..

getting a new tank tomorrow.. the biggest I can keep.. tank and stand cannot exceed 40 inches..

doing prep work for guppy time..

Is it bad to be getting a bunch of guppys so some of the fry can be given as a treat to my angelfish? If you research angelfish, they happen to love it. Like caviar.

I happen to also like the guppies.

Hey lovelies!

Going to cedar point tomorrow!!! Unsure about rain though :/ seems ok only 30% chance and isolated, but I'm hoping it doesn't rain.

I couldn't do it just for an Angelfish snack.............that's why I don't have cichlids.

Hey Hambone, what size tank you getting? You should try the chat that Diese Madchen posted, it's less family friendly if you know what I mean. :shifty:

Good luck on your trip bro!

I didn't mean it cruel. I actually really like guppies. I just thought when they have 100's of fry...With a purely food chain, kind of attitude. I plan on hatching brine shrimp to feed my fish, that's no different as it is a living water creature...

Bolivian rams are cichlids. ;)

Shhh, don't tell anyone. They eat bottom feeder pellets & frozen brine shrimp & Bloodworms for a treat. You should also check out that chat room, the more the merrier.

Hey Lovelies!
I caught Tzuppy being a ham on camera while I was filming.

He was pretending to be stuck behind the filter. When I lifted the lid of the tank, he swam away. But he looked as if he was stuffed when I saw him. X)) Too bad dad's phone doesn't have a good camera and my nokia only records few seconds and says its memory is full...

Also, happy 4th of July (well at least it's 4th July here). Fireworks tonight!
