I just saw Tzuppy at his worst.
I found the 4th fry that I thought was dead, only to see it get eaten by Eris. Within seconds, Eris was headbutted by the hoplo and ended up against the wall. She is a bit scared now.

Hey Lovelies! I 50% water changed my 75g and 46g last night in 42 minutes, including wiping the inside glass with a sponge and brushing diatoms off the wood.


Only let one bucket overfill and tripped over a crawling baby twice.

My wife got me a new light fixture for Father's Day!

It's a CurrentUSA Nova Extreme 24 inch 2x24 T5HO unit for my 20 gallon sand tank! I won't have it for about a week though since I ordered it online............

Kewl!! What are you doing for co2 then?

None of my tanks have CO2, does that matter? I mean the plants in Zach's tank are growing ridiculously well, eccept the Telanthera red plants which look like they're drying up a bit & losing color.

If your plants are healthy you don't need it, your new lights sound pretty powerful so I was just wondering. Your plants will let you know if you need co2 added. Your tanks are small enough to use flourish excel though, so if you see problems it's an easy fix.

Going to Fairway Beef here in a minute.. They has bone in rib eyes for 7.99 a pound.. I am going to see if I can get a whole roast cheaper, I'll probably get a whole roast anyways and has them cut it to 1.25 inch steaks.. their display steaks are 1 inch thick, for our british and Romanian friends 1 inch is equal to 341 cm to help put it in perspective fer ya..

Zach's tank has a different brand (ZooMed) fixture but basically the same watts per gallon at 2.4. HIs Bacopa Caroliniana (Lemon Bacopa) is growing like it's on steriods when compared to the same Bacopa growing in my 36 gallon, which has about 1.75 wpg. I don't dose either tank with CO2 or ferts, I just let them feed off the existing nitrate. The other 20 gal sand tank only has a 15 watt T8 bulb and that's the tank where one of the Anubias plants flowered. If the light level is too high I'll lower it by adding some floating plants.

kind of hard to avoid, seeing as there usually is a sea of them during the night.
And I did face 2 roach invasions before (in 2008 and 2009). Had to manually exterminate them the first time. Second time mother tried Killtox. It failed. I had to manually exterminate the bugs while the Killtox smell still didn't get off my bed.

I got an 18 pound plus roast cut into 1.5 inch steaks for 7.29 a pound..

Seventy cents off a pound to has them cut them into thicker steaks.. I'll take that..


Also got 2.1 pound of flank steaks for 6.99 a pound, five pounds of Kayem natural casing hot dogs and some summer squarsh..

The walk in the park with the neighbors and my mom went better than expected. No bikers!
However, I came home and found Tzuppy searching for the filter fry. I noticed that the fry is no longer there and Eris looks kind of plump... Looks like I'm down to 2 fry (which came out for food after I spread the flakes on the surface).
