Just saw this morning the famous Forests Underwater by Takashi Amano is closing in Lisbon. An aquascape I always wanted to see in person but now will not have the chance to. Amano did state before his death that nothing is eternal and eventually it would be taken down.

Speaking with people from the aquascaping and public aquarium world, it seems much of Amano's work was gone pretty quickly. Those perfect tableau aquascapes were always going to be temporary.

Isn't the aquascaping side of the hobby a series of endlessly redone scapes?
