My Betta, The Godfather, leapt from the tank (again) as I was doing a filter clean yesterday

I was convinced he was dead, but kept him in a breeder trap overnight in the community just in case he came around. He was out for nearly 10 hours but as I woke up today....
His fins - they moved! His gills - they twitched! His tail.......was FLAKING?!
His tail and fins have flaked away and are now rather rough and have lost 1/3 of their length. His body is also very very pale, and althoguh he's swimming now he still doesn't seem well.
Now, his fins flaking away - will they grow back, and why did it happen? Stress? Shock?

I can't picture what you're saying, sorry, I wish I could. Perhaps this is from damage to his slime coat, do you have any Novaqua available?
