I have just invested in 3 Gouramis, sold to me as Opalines however the 3 spots are still visisble so they are somewhere in-between - beautiful all the same.
One male, and 2 females - I was planning on 5 females for the tank but unfortunately there were only 3 at the store. I didn't think it would be an issue if I added a couple later on?
The tank is 30 UK gallons, temp of 25c, ph 7.5, and has been running for a few months with a fluval 305. There is a huge bunch of anubias covering the bogwood all over the tank, with a mixed substrate of fine black sand & 2mm pebbles.
I want to make this a biotope for Gouramis with the best possible habitat, and have read that floating plants are a favorite of theirs - would a species like 'Salvinia Natans' be a good choice do you think?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Paul
