The Bacteria In A Bottle Worked?!?!?!?

Have you tested the nitrate levels of your tap water? If so, what are they?

So my question is where did the ammonia go. It is not present in nitrates at the end so something is amiss. The nitrites will be 2.7 times the original ammonia and the nitrates at 3.7 times. Since you have addedf the ammonia at least 3 times, you should have about 50 ppm of nitrates if you were truly getting a conversion. I can't put my finger on what it is but something doesn't add up.

Maybe I have it figured out. You have been using test strips and reporting results as if they meant something. The other altrenative is you work for an aquarium products wholesaler like Axle does and you are selling the stuff. LOL

Do YOU really still think i have an affiliation with Bactinette? You muppet.

I would never work for an aquarium wholesaler, have you seen how little they get paid? and they smell funny too.

What are you using to treat the water? Some water treatments contain ammonia remover - sorry 5teady - hydroxymethanesulfonate - which chemically converts the ammonia into non toxic aminomethanesulfonate. I dont' understand it either, I have to look up the reaction, I just know that it does. Read it on the Kordon site.

So basically if you're putting in a dechlorinator that contains that ammonia remover, the ammonia is being neutralised by the dechlorinator. In which case you might have to switch brands until the tank cycles.
