.... just a note to say thank for the advice, I semm to have my tank under control now :)

Also asking your opinion for the future, what fish do you think would go well with my exsisting stock? I have a 125l tank currently with 1x sailfin Pleco, 2x Neon tetra, 2x Sailfin Mollies, 3x Female Guppies (plus 4 fry) and 1x Male Guppy.

Thank you

I think you should think about re-homing your common plec before you do anything else. Your tank's just not big enough for it I'm afraid; you could get a bristlenose instead perhaps?

Then you need to get some more neons, as they really need to be kept in shoals; at least six, but preferably ten.

Hmmmm.....slightly confused, I think I might have called it the wrong name as I goggle common Pleco and it's not one of those :/ It's definitley a different and the store said it would be suitable for my tank size.

I did have more tetra's and will get some more but I had an ammonia spike and lost 4 of them :( I can't add anymore fish yet, need to get it under control (which it is starting to drop now).

Oh, I've just noticed you said sailfin plec, not common, sorry!

If it's the one normally sold under that name, the gibbiceps, that'll grow even bigger  About 18" long...possibly even two feet, although that would be quite rare.
