Tetraplant Complete Substrate

hi, i am going to setup a planted tank with co2 and ferts but was woundering if this My link
is ok to put under sand ?
there is so much choice ,im not sure what to buy, can any one recommend the best substrate to go under sand witch will benefit the plants and not come through the sand and look messey.

IMO that is overkill. Just get the cheapest potting soil you can find and cover a layer of it with a layer of coarse sand/ fine gravel. I start with a layer about 2cm thick of the cheap potting soil and use a comparable amount of sand/gravel. I specify the cheapest you can find because it will have no added anything in it, no nitrogen, phosphates, potassium, etc. The end result, with decent lighting, is this.
