I started feeding this stuff about 2 months back and I'm getting through it like nobodies business!

My fishy chums have become so greedy since feeding this that they all spend ALL day at the front in the top at the middle where I normally feed them.

I'm feeding them like 3 times a day and it still doesn't stop!

Is this normal with this stuff??

I feed this and the mini granules also, they do enjoy it,

Fish will eat has much as you give them and more,i would think 3 times a day is overfeeding them...

To be fair I do worry I'm underfeeding as each time I feed, the food is gone within ten seconds

For most small - medium sized fish, feedingo nce a day is enough. The majority of fish can survive for 2-3 weeks without food so they will not starve. As said fish will keep eating beyond their means if the food is there.

I feed once daily and dont feed at all on a sunday.

I feed a mixture of flake food, pellets, bloodworm, daphnia, brine shrimp, assorted vegetables.

Yeah so do I.......

They get - flakes, tetra prima, cucumber, peas, sinking pellets, algae wafers, blood worm and daphnia on a cycle. Perhaps I should of been more specific that it's only on the tetra prima days that they do it mainly and the day after tetra prima.
They do get a day off each week from feeding also and on days when I'm at work they only get fed once too as I aren't in the house to do it.

They have 2 powerful filters running and water changes 3 times a week.

Doesn't seem to be doing them any harm............they just seem to beg a lot was my point

Does every thread require a know it all lecture? I aint a n00b

It wasnt meant to be a lecture, but you asked the question.

and yes it normal, they will feed 12 times a day if you let them, I'd just cut down on the feeding a little.

Why you doing 3 water changes a week? you in a cycle? or is that just ur routine?

Andy

I regularly use Prima as part of my rotation of foods as well.

I'll be honest that I don't see my fish going particularly nuts about the Prima, compared to any other pellets.

In fact I have one particularly picky severum, and Prima is the one pellet he won't eat !

The pellets I'd say my fish ( SA cichlids) go the most nuts over are the Hikari gold floting pellets ... definately a winner there for me !
