Temporary Housing

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear about your little man! Mine died last night too  , not an easy thing to go through. I was more attached to him than the rest for some reason... :/ :-(

Aww.. I'm so sorry that your fish aren't doing so well and that one actually died. Poor lil things!
Really hope the females pull through!

AS for what to do... I'd either ask for a refund (for the ones that die) or get replacements.

The females are a bit better. I came home from work and hubby said they stayed in same positions most of the day (one at top of her tank, the other at the bottom of her tank), but he did notice them move more. I went to peek at them and they were both swimming. They stopped when they saw me, so I continued to do some things and looked again and they were moving some. I think they will get better. None of the fish show outward signs of disease. No discoloration (actually their coloring is getting better, another good sign, I think)...but no red spots or anything like that.., no fuzzy or white spots, no open sores, not bloated, nothing inflamed or torn. The male (that has been fine all along) actually made a little bubble nest :)
So, the females aren't all better, but are showing signs of improvement. The seller seems genuinely concerned. She actually sent me her cell phone number and wants me to call her so we can decide what to do. I agree that it seems odd that this is just from shipping stress...esp since the one male is perfectly fine, but the seller seems very honest so I think that if the cause of their distress happened before shipping, then she just missed it by accident. (or maybe she's just trying to cover her butt, I don't know! LOL) The only thing I can possibly think, is the box they were shipped in was not labeled "Live fish" like all the other fish shipments I've received. Maybe the box got handled roughly while it was in shipment.
Ok, I just peeked over where the tanks are and both females were swimming again, I went over there and they both came to the front of their tanks to look at me :) More good signs!

glad to hear there getting better :D
i hope they make full recoveries :D
i hope my new betta will be mroe enjoyable(hes super active and curious, can never stop moving, and took him no time to adjsut at all when i bought him home, he explored his new home, and ate the pellet i put in as soon as i put it in :D)
Anywho good luck :good:

That's so good to hear that the girls are doing better!
I was just thinking that they were probably mishandled during delivery or something. Specially since they weren't labelled as live fish.
I'm really hoping the females continue to do well along with the already well guy! *HUGS*

Hallelujah!! The females are much much better this morning. They're like whole new fish. I really think that the package had to be handled really rough since it wasn't marked "Live fish" or "fragile" or anything. Plus, I think I forgot to mention this earlier, when they arrived their heat pack was cold. Which means it didn't even last 24 hours. The seller said the heat pack was suppose to last 60 hours, so I think it was faulty. So getting tossed around and roughly handled and going through temperature extremes was enough to stress them to the MAX! But, they're good now. I'm really sad about the male that died, though. But the seller has been so super nice through this whole ordeal. I've emailed between her and her husband and they're both really sweet. They said I could either have a refund or a replacement fish. I asked for a replacement fish. I'll have to post pics sometime soon. :)

:) :p :D :) :D :p :) :p :D :) :D :p :) :p :D :) :D :p :) :p :D :) :D :p

Yay!!!!!!!!!!

That makes my day! SO glad to hear they are doing so well! Who were the sellers? Just curious, they seem very fair.

Note to all: Guess what my husband said yesterday??? He said "I almost bought you another betta yesterday...I just didn't know where to guy it, if I do where should I go to get it" Completely floored me! HE is the one who recently asked me to lay low on them for awhile since I have been a little fish crazy. I was also telling him stories of cute things my fishies have been doing, and he saw me playing with my little boy last night and was completely entertained...there just may be hope yet. :good:
