I have a 55 gal tank with ample water conditions for cichlids. I was thinking 4 labidochromis caeruleus, 2 pseidotropheus zebra (cobalt blue), 2 pseidotropheus zebra (red) and 2 pseudotropheus demsani. Does this sound like an good mixture of fish and a good amount? Could I put more in or should I take some out?

Drop the Demasoni or at least only get 1 they are vicious and do not tolerate their own lind or fish of a similar appearance.

Aulonocara do not do well with the more aggressive Mbuna, IMO they should only be kept with the milder species like yellow labs, i wouldn't risk it.

I would probably increase your Cobalts and Zebra stock to 4 with 1 male to 3 female ratio's and you'll have a nice tank with 3 species.
