Tech Corner

A few issues with the OLED.. It still hasn't even made it past the picking stage of the delivery status, 7 days after ordering. I decided to contact the company, and I'm waiting for a reply now :) . I just hope it's a simple error that can be fixed.

Meanwhile, my current monitor is driving me up the wall! It took 37 minutes the other day for all the lines to disappear, and all I needed the PC for was a simple file transfer.. I need that OLED asap

Did you order it directly from the manufacturer or through an outlet such as Amazon?

If within range of a TV plug the HDMI cable into an empty HDMI port on the TV.

It's a UK-based tech outlet store about 50 miles south of me. I've used them before, and they've been great. I'm hoping it's just a slip-up on their end. I did expect some form of delay since we are approaching BF, but I didn't think it would be this long. I'm still waiting for a reply. I do have a TV in the same room, but removing all the cables and cable ties on my desk isn't worth the hassle :)

Assuming that you used a bank/debit/paypal account for payment check your on-line banking to see if there has been a finalized charge to your account. If there is still a pending charge it is likely just a delay in shipping. If the payment is finalized I'd use that as leverage to get a response. In my personal experience reputable outfits will not finalize a payment until the item is shipped.

To be honest, if it is an actual brick and mortar store, I would have just driven and picked it up. :dunno:

I used Klarna as payment and did the same for previous orders from the same place. I will wait a bit longer for a response before I call them.
They used to have a store but they turned it into a warehouse since online orders became the norm for them. You can still pick up in person but I won’t be able to since I’m working almost every day for the next few weeks and I don’t have a license or car :)

By 'warehouse' I take it as meaning that they became a clearing house that is a distributor for many manufacturers. Now let's think about if their source for the monitor is in China. When I buy from New Egg or Amazon I tend to look at where it is shipped from but sometimes I forget to do so. If shipped from China it can easily take a couple of weeks to arrive. In some cases the item tracking won't even show as shipped until it passes customs for the country of destination due to it having to be received by the delivery outfit that is actually in the country of delivery.

To help verify the above possibility go back to the sales page for the monitor and look for a statement as to from where the monitor was initially shipped.
