particularly my Hillstream tank, the bigger fish that hang out in the bubble waterfall come out looking for food, and there are just so many tiny varieties that spend most of their times in the piles of 2-3 inch rocks... there is just so much to see, really a sensory overload...

unfortunately I miss out on most, as I'm feeding a dozen tanks, from the back side, of the tanks, that all have back grounds... if I have nothing to do that day, ( which is like never ) I'll feed one tank at a time, and come around and watch them eat, then do the next... but I rarely have that much spare time, so the normal, is to feed them all, and come around to the fronts, and watch for a while, but after feeding a dozen tanks, the 1st tanks are already done eating ... even though the Hillstream tank is the 2nd fed, the action seems to last the longest

I love watching the rainbows. They are like large mouth bass -- thunder on the water. We often feed them last and slowly to enjoy the action. Put small gnats in the tank after a recent hatch and the action was superb. I thought they might knock the cover from its moorings.

yea feeding fishes is not fun when they splash 16 oz of water on your and bite your fingers really hard afterwards.

Your loaches might be better behaved but there are times when i think it is time to filet my naughty ones.
