just moved, set the tank up straight away, fish seem to be doing well, however the tank seems to be wonky? not by a lot only about 8 mm, but thats enough. put a sprit level on the unit that seems fine? put he level on the lid that seem fine? i'm confused :S. i know this is bad for the tank any surgestions on how to fix this?

also i had a few golden rams, we lost one just before we moved it got really pale and went belly up. :-( the other seems to be going a little pale too? all the other fish seem fine and as far as i know the water is ok. (must check the water tonight in the new place let you know what happens tomorrow)

The stand could be warped from sitting badly originally, or the foam between the tank and stand has collapsed in one corner. One leg of the stand could be sitting on something small but hard and twisting the stand.
8mm is a huge amount to be out for a glass tank. I would lower the water level until you can work out where the tank is unstable. Once you have fixed it you can fill the tank back up.

ok, i'll do that to night. thing is with stand it's a wood tv stand that has bee beefed up to hold the tank. would that still buckle in the same way?

Could you describe what you mean by "wonky" a bit more? Is the water 8mm lower on one side, or just 1 corner? If it's one whole side that is lower, then the floor or the stand is just not level. 8mm is not gonna burst your tank, you can put something under the stand legs to level it if you want though.

8mm in just 1 corner though is a huge deal, means the whole tank is twisted. Since glass is not very flexible, that would worry me a lot.

Also, what size tank is it?

it seems to be down one side not in one corner. the tank is 120lt 101cm long. and by wonky i mean don't seem level but the sprit level tells me other wise?

sounds like the floor or the stand is uneven. Is the floor tiles? if so it could be the tiles on one side sit slightly higher than the other side.

Wooden stands can warp pretty badly. It might have been pushed out a little when it was moved. Use the spirit level to see if the stand is level upwards as well as across.

it's carpet? yeah will check that to night. i think it need to be sorted sooner rather than later, saves putting extra stress on the tank, thats the last thing i want at this moment in time. scrub that don't want my tank to pop full stop!

down on one whole side isn't such an issue. One corner is a major problem tho.
