Tankmate(s) For A 75 Gallon Oscar Tank?

Hmm, well I know for a fact its 4 feet long, so I guess maby the plec should be brought back to the store while he's still small.

Ok, with the 110 gallon tank, how about 1 Oscar, 1 Convict, and 1 Jack Dempsey?

No probs, we've been in the same boat (had to rehome our common) so I'm sorry if I've drilled on about it. Like Sam said, that stocking sounds fine, and there are plecs out there that could be suitable. If you PM me I can give you the link for Pleco Fanatics (or you can Google for it?) - there are tonnes of people on there really experienced with plecs who might be able to help you find a suitable one?

Cool, theres a place around where I live that stocks all kinds of plecs, its just a bit of a drive but no problem for me. So, which would you choose, a pepermint plec or the bristlenose plec? And one of these would still be alright to keep with the 3 other fish?

do you kno the dimensions of the tank yet?


i find it hard to judge stocking when you get to big fish, ive jus had the same problem altho its a nice problem to have lol.


i think you might be pushing it with 3 fish and the plec but knowing the tank dimensions would help.

you also have to consider that even when small, plecs produce alot of waste and so can play havoc with your tanks reading and levels.


having sed that tho, i think if you overfiltered and did weekly 25% changes then you should be fine

The 110 gal is 48x18x30


So does anybody object to having those 4 fish in there?
