I'm not the best at taking pics... plus dont have a proper camera, just a camera phone! so here is the best I could get of my new tank and some of my fish, which are looking a bit lonely in their bigger home at the moment!

Very Nice Tank !! I have a plec that looks identical to yours 2 mystery plecs ! when you find out name you'll have to tell me ! lol Great set up love the colour in the angel

Thanks Paul and Kizz! Those plants are only plastic Paul, I am planning on swapping them for real ones at some point tho!

Kizz, After posting a name that plec thread on here yesterday.. it seem that they are common plecs, and grow very big! :)

Am liking the tank but i think youre stocking is a bit
Especially with that puffer it looks like a MBU to me and have heard they are very aggressive fish that like to munch on smaller fish or those that cant get away easily which means imo that you will notice you wont have a betta or a angelfish one day and youre plecs will have chunks bitten out of them.
It would look good with either a community of fish or just youre puffer on its own imo :good:

Yeah, that puffer I bought on advice form my LFS... one day I'll learn to stop listening to them!!! Not only have I since learnt that its not even a FW fish, but as you say, also an aggressive fish! So far I've had no problems, he roams around quite peacefully and pays no attention to the other fish, but I dont expect that to last long! i'm planning on re-homing him very soon, mostly because he's a brackish fish, and as an adult will need a full marine environment!

Ok then lol glad you already know i would try and rehome him as soon as possible cause i bet you have big plans for that tank once he has gone lol :hyper: :shifty:

i'd agree on the plecos with everyone else. end of the day they'd still get large. love the puffer but too bad he can't be kept. i'm surprised he hasnt taken a chunk out of the other fishes

Whats an mbu? sorry.. I;m new to all this fish stuff!

News on the puffer tho... Just awaiting some advice from the brackish experts on how to set up the water, then I'll be keeping him a while longer in a tank of his own!

Mbu are the largest freshwater puffer (20"-30" in length), commonly sold unfortunately and very few people are able to keep one and even fewer know what they have bought till its too late :(

Your Puffer is a stunning looking Ceylon :)

Its a Ceylon ( Tetraodon fluviatilis )

very nice, love the puffer i saw them today for the first time, i didnt reaslise they got so chunky lol, are all those items on top of the tank going to be ok, what with condensation etc ?? ( just a thought :) )
