Tank Restore - Day 1

Hello everyone!

Been away from keeping fish for awhile now....
Somone who lives across from me called me over today, She said she had a Aquarium in a BAD way that needed fixing up and if I wanted it she would give me it free!

Against my better judgement I decided to give it ago.....
So I went over and it wasn't a Aquarium.... It was a train wreck lol.
But both me and my Partner have decided to give it our best to get it up and running!
Sadly the stand is all smashed up but I think we can fix it.

I haven't measured the tank yet but I'd say it's around 3-4 foot long and about a foot in depth.
Came with afew things like heater etc but there all fitted it a power box.
I have included some pics below....

Yeah, good luck needed, especially if you are going to use that 'under gravel filter'

Bleach... lol try Citric Acid....
Sadly I do intend to use the under gravel filter haha.
My partner is working on the stand at the moment....
Pulled the two support beams for the tank to go on and gonna fit new ones....

It's a nice big tank tho
Just think of all the guppies it could hold ^^

Why use an undergravel filter? For a tank that size your so much better going for an external! It'll make your life so much easier.

Don't even know if I'm keeping tank yet.
Might do it up and sell it on
cost maybe £15-20 to sort it
could sell it for £80-150 easy
