hehe no, that's shadow, my betta (also in the fourth? pic), sleeping. haha he sleeps ontop the pillar.

thanks! i saw them online at Petco and when we went there to get Shadow, i looked for it. there were a few others online, but neither looked as cool .

i only have two bettas, both are in seperate tanks. i had them in a smallish tank with a divider but pacific would flare at shadow and shadow would try to hide behind his pillar...i was afraid he was going to hurt himself so i put them in completley seperate tanks.

What beautiful fish!

I currently have a coldwater tank, but I'm saving for a tropical tank and I might have to get one of them! I really want a siamese fighter fish as well - I know you can only have one of those, but are the bettas aggressive fish? Would I be able to have a betta and a siamese fighter?

Edit: Ignore me, I am a fool

I see now, betta = siamese fighting fish - it's just that they're so different from the one siamese fighter I saw in my LFS - it had long traily fins and was such a dark red it was nearly black - didn't look like that lot!

mooneybeams: they were probably different kinds of bettas. i never knew that there were different kinds until i started scanning around on here and looking around at my LFS. actually, i loved the halfmoons until i got my crowntails (my LFS didn't have halfmoons) and now i think my CTs are the best
