Tank Mates & Stocking

Well I'm happy you have dropped down on you're orginal stocking plan.

You are not even getting this mythical tank with stock plan that is so unbelievably badly thought out it leaves me (almost) speechless until Christmas - so it will not be cycled til February - 10 months for you to actually research and listen to common sense.

450l and the fish you listed is not even a consideration in any way. Most of the fish you list are a definite NO in a tank that size even alone.

i meant i will have fish in it by christmas!! :good:

I am sorry to be so blunt, but I really can't see the point of asking for advice and then ignoring it. You HAVE to put the fish's welfare above everything else or there is no point in keeping fish. If you do go down this road, it will only lead to heartache for both you and your fish. You have in the internet the best research tool available, use it and you and your fish will benefit and live a long and happy life.

When calculating your stocking levels, ALWAYS be guided by the fish's adult size. Your tank may look bare for a while, but the fish will soon grow given the right amount of food and water changes.

Still 7 months or so then to get some common sense....

How about a 700L (184 US Gallons) with

X1 BGK (max size 16-20 most likely size in captivity 12'')12+
X3 Clown Loaches (max size 10'')30+
X3 Hujeta Gars (max size 28'' max size in captivity 22'')66+
X1 Zig Zag Eel (max size 32-34'')33+
X1 Peacock Eel (max size 24'')24+
X1 Scarlet Plecos (max size 16-18'')17+
Inch of fish to gallon 182 inch of fish to 184 US Gallon

(I did my homework!! )

just rang an LFS there a minute ago he said he could take

Bala sharks
Oscar
Plec
Mollies
Danio

would that make a difference in my tank

ATM I'd rehome pretty much all you can then listen to the experienced members advice

Yep rehome all the fish you can!

As far as 700l goes, if you FORGET ABOUT THE GARS and add 1 more clown loach then you are getting there - depending on filtration.

By the way, have you actually priced this little lot up?

P.S. the 1 inch to 1 gallon 'rule' really does not work. Example, 1x Neon Tetra is 1" of fish but an Oscar at say 4" long is about 16x the bulk so = to about 16x neon tetra.
