I was thinking of finding some kind of dark amber amber lens to put under my light hood to dim my tank and make my morays happy and add that wonderful astetically pleasing natural look to my water. Does anyone have suggestions on what to use? I was thinking tranlucent binder dividers from school would be smart.

I believe you can make your own blackwater mixture by boiling the dead leaves of oak and beech and using the liquid after it has cooled.

Just get a piece of untreated malaysian driftwood and you'll have all the tanins you could ever ask for... plus more. I've had my piece of driftwood for 2 years and I still have heavy tanins.
