I currently have 20g tank with 2 cichlids , which fights all day long! (Which the women in the shop said there find together) So i've decided to take them both back and make a fresh start, and do some research on other fish before getting anymore. But i feel awkard ringing them and asking them to take them back, Im not expecting any money from them, just for them to have them back. Also i dont have anything to transport them back to the shop, which means ive gotta go all the way there to get bags come back, then take them back again.

Just wondered what you lot thought about it? Have you ever done this?

Cheers.

Don't feel awkward,
if the fish are fighting, then you are doing it for the welfare of the fish, which is the right reason.
Any self respecting LFS would offer to exchange the fish for others (provided you got them there, and they are still healthy)
Bucket,bag,ice cream tub, whatever !
But save a few bags next time and some elastic bands too (they are easier than undoing the knots that shop staff seem to be able to tie !!!

You are doing the right thing so the LFS should not kick up. They may insist on giving out a credit note which is no problem.

Obviously your tank is cycled ( :hey: ) so don't leave it without fish for long, eh?

The shop is about 15min drive , There a couple of cichlids, just chase each other every minute of the day! :(

Dont call first, it only gives them a chance to say no. Turn up with the fish and they'll be more likely to take them. :good:
