Hello!
I was just inquiring on the safety of my betta while Iā€™m on holiday.
I own a male betta in a 2.5 gallon tank with a heater, filter, gravel and live plants.

My main question is if my betta will survive without food or care from Sunday morning til Thursday afternoon. I also want to know if I should do I large water change before I leave in order to prevent any mishaps.

Thank you for your time
Have a nice day :)

Your fish will be fine without food for a week.

Just feed him more often for 2 weeks before you go.
The extra food will let him gain some weight and he can live off that while you're gone.

Do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every couple of days for a few weeks before you go. The water changes will keep the tank clean when you are feeding him more.

Clean your filter a few days to a week before you go.
