Although alot of those tanks are very aesthetically pleasing I'll say the same as I say every other time I've seen a thread like this. My personal stance is that the fish come first, I 'build' a tank around their needs... not put them in something that looks good just as an ornament.

Plus the maintenance on some of them is silly, like the round one connected by tubes and such... how exactly would you clean that when algae started building up?

And the presurrised one holding the water in... hopefully they're regularly refreshing the air to allow for gas exchange.

Gotta say my favourites (by far), are the takashi amano tanks followed by the really large cylindrical tanks. I don't really like any of the others. The phone booth one is ok, but just not sustainable as even for coldwater fish it wouldn't keep warm enough in winter for goldies (in the Uk anyways), and they'd cost a fortune to run heated...

glass tubes with very short life. lets say 3 weeks..? not worth a penny...!

Wow loving the fish highway and my brother is in discussions with the mrs on constructing a similar design to the sink aquarium.

It's quite a stressful place for fish to live to be honest. I wouldn't recommend it...

Not really, tanks made for humans appreciation before any thought is given to the quality of life for the fish just dont do anything for me. I like to give my fish the most comfortable surroundings possible (without releasing them back to their natural habitat of course ) lol. So I just really don't like the 'gimicky' tanks, and the 'wow factor' tanks that are just using simple physics principles don't really do anything for me either.

I may be boring but often the first thing I think is 'Eugh... now lets see the picture a couple of months down the line when it'a full of algae and debris.
