Here is my mid spring project, the tabletop garden in a pot. All plants will be native and the only in native thing will be a couple of ghost shrimp. I am using a basic pot with plug, that I will be resealed to hold water. I am using the pump from an old internal filter and want it to trickle out and will work that out. I will spray the rock rustoleum on the outside and the black on the inside. I'm thinking maybe an emergent grass and horse tail, some marsh clover sp, a threadlike aquatic plant and duckweed. Substrate will be clay with some sticks sticking out and maybe some moss.

Hats sweet, maybe you can get some daphnia started up from it too!

Yeah, I'm thinking about doing some daphnia, copepods and amphioods so I have a nice mix of critters

Tomorrow I will paint the pot and maybe do basic hardscaping

Painted the inside black and the outside navy blue with gray stone accents. Plants will be collected eventually

Didn't get any plants yet. Don't think it's big enough to do anything with
