Synodontis Petricola

Starting up a new tank with 3 synodontis petricola. I was wondering what cichlids would be a good addition to the tank (37gal). Thanks for you ideas.

Syno petricola is one of the Rift Valley Synos, so they will be ideal for a Malawi or Tang setup. Similar water conditions. (Hard & alkaline)

37 gals though is a bit on the small side for Malawis,but should be ok for some of the smaller Tangs.

Actually, you can keep just about any cichlids suitable for the tank sise with them as long as the water isn't acidic.

I agree with squidward, having mbuna or open water malawisis pushing it in a tank that size.
have a look at smaller tanganyikan cichlids
neolamprologus brichardi, neolamprologus leleupi, neolamprologus caudopunctatus, neolamprologus multifasciatus, neolamprologus brevis, lamprologus ocellatus and are all really nice little tanganyikans!
