My Synodontis Petricola have bred for the second time and we have two babies that have survived.

Since yesterday evening though, one of them appears to be missing a major "chunk" of skin - does this look like a normal "graze" and will doing a water change to maintain water quality be enough to help it heal? It would be impossible to catch, plus I don't haved a "hospital" tank.

To be honest I think something took a bite out of him - as long as there is no major damage clean water and nothing attacks him it should heal normally but given the depth might take several months. If you have another aquarium that lacks predator and he is catchable you might consider moving him.
