I have a tropical red swordtail fish, along with a fancy guppy, a beta and a catfish. After a peaceful community coexistence, in the last few days my red swordtail has been attacking my snail, poking it unmercifully until it falls to the bottom of the tank. Does anyone know anything about this, or have any experience with it? I have the sword tail in isolation, now, but I've never read anything about behavior like this. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe feed your swordtail more? I'm not suggesting that youre underfeeding, but if theyre hungry I think they will bother other fish, right? If I'm right on this, I think a swordtail is a type of molly? I have mollies (though not swordtails) and they don't bother any of my snails.

I had swordtails that picked on my apple snails. The snails are now in there own tank with some white clouds.
