Ok so here is the update a promised.

I bought my very first betta! Well not really I had one when I was like 6 but can we not count that please?

I tried takin pics of him and his tank so I hope these will do

Yea the blue scales on top of the black ( it doesn't picture well ) mixed with the red shadow is the whole reason I got this one. He was by far the best looking betta in the store.

Oh I'm very happy with him, the tank just seems so empty with only one fish though.

I see what you mean about his tail, have you any idea what caused it?

I dont have a clue, he was all alone in his dinky little cup that they keep them in. is grown already so im not to worried about it. Im more worried about his color fluctuation. in my first pics he is almost black and in these ones he is alot brighter and almost all red, but the other day he was blue like all blue... he is like a chameleon!!!!

Supra, re his tail, keep the water warm and very clean and it will all grow back! Congrats on the beautiful betta.

Good looking fellow.
Have a similar CT. But not nearly the blue, just a sheen.
Depending on his personality, it may be a one fish tank. Mine is in a 10gal. and he is High lord and master of his tank.
