I read a few posts that have talked about the support bar on their Rio 300 breaking and the tank begining to bow......this has begun to worrk me somewhat as I have a Rio 300 and if the tank was to break it would be a disaster......also in my work that I do I instal and maintain aquariums in businesses and use Jewel tanks.

Is there measures I can take to strengthen this, maybe siliconing extra supports onto it?
Can this be done to the one I already have without emptying it?

I know folk complain about the lighting and filters in these set ups but Ive never had problems with either of them (apart from the lighting being a bit crap in the smaller ones but thats easy sorted after I saw a good thread on here)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Well both mine and the guy i work with's rio 300s had the center brace break, both tanks were bought around the same time and from the same supplier.
