Suitable Cats For Malawi Tank

want some bottom feeders / clean up crew for my malawi tank, but dont want bristlenoses or syndontis as i dont like the look of them, anything else thats commonly available that would work ?

Bristlenose wouldn't be a great choice anyway due to the water chemistry for Malawi versus South American waters.
 
 
 
You didn't mention the size of your tank, but here are two options that might work for you:  Cookoo Catfish and the Featherfin Catfish.  They grow to 6 and 7 inches, respectively.  But, they are African catfish and should be fine with Malawi cichlids.

4 footer?  If so, then the cats would be suitable, but barely.  If not, then they are too big for the tank.
