See I am getting a 2.5 ft tank. PLus a new HO Filter tomorrow.

I have only one Betta now in a 20 litre tank.

I prefer Less active fish and love flowing friendly fish who enjoy showing off their fins. Some nice colours too.
PLease Note The Betta will be there and all your suggestions should be Betta compatible.

Also what plants and wood should i add and what should be the substrate

Since my filter will be new I have to restart a fishing cycle so will have maximum of 5 fishes to help me with it.

I don`t want to come back reporting about trouble so guys need your suggestions please. Also attach links so that I can do some research before buying the fish.
:D  B-)

Neon tetras, endlers (sometimes marked as feeder guppies), female guppies (non fancy), female platies, ghost shrimp, amano shrimp, Pygmy Cory catfish and harleyquin rasboras are good choices for a Betta
P.S when you get the fish add the other fish first then wait a week or 2 and add the betta

No you cannot get a shark...You wanted small, slow, gentle fish and most "sharks" for your tank are not compatible with either your stocking or your tank size.

hey since i am planning to buy a new one suggest me a good size so that i can keep some nice fish

hi crunch,

how are you? not long now until the big exam!! good luck with that!! :hyper:

now you know what i am going to say don't you???!! keep the betta in the 20l tank until you have completed a fish-LESS cycle!! we don't want anymore disasters like the last time!! it will give you more time to properly research your stocking options and will be healthier for your new fish and your betta. remember how you felt when your pleco died?? this was not your fault but we don't want any repeats of that horrible feeling!!

what kind of tank are you planning on having?? planted?? what substrate would you like?? (remember if you want corys, sand is best) +1 on fishyfriends stocking ideas...they all seem like a good plan! no you can't have a shark, regardless of the size of your tank, if you want to keep it with the betta. if you want to look at fish like sharks, plecos etc you will need a significantly larger tank than 2.5ft (at least 5ft is recommended with most plecos) and the betta will have to stay in its 20l tank.

firstly work out what fish you like the look of and post a list. you will also need to tell us the size of the tank you are going to get. PLEASE make your mind up to do a fish-LESS cycle crunch...it really is the way to go.

Take care and let me know what kind of fish you fancy getting! Remember...nothing nippy with anything with flowing fins!!

L :friends:

ps - if you have the money, 4ft is a good size for a community tank
