Sugestions For A Newbie

i have a 3ft and 2 18" tanks on a double stand.I would like some suggestions for the 18" tanks please.the 3ft one is sorted

how about a heavely planted tank with say some guramis, you can transfer some of your growing plants into the bigger tank, as and when needed. you could have the other as a "none community" tank with crabs or shrimp or crayfish if you make it brackish puffers?

will Gouamis be ok in an 18" tank? i thought they got to at least 5".No doubt Jack will be on later depending how good my wireless signal is today

Alot of Gourami grow to 5" and over; but Dwarf Gourami, Honey Gourami and Sparkling Gourami grow no larger than 2.5", So those would be fine in a 18" tank.
