Stress Coat Fr Damaged Fins. Anyone Used It?

My new Betta has split fins. I read Stress Coat is good for healing. Is this any good do you think? I have an indian almond leaf in there with him to help. I've also heard a lot mentioned about aquarium salt. Any advise would be great

I've tried melafix, acriflavin & so on with torn up fish, plain fresh water heals faster than anything.

Thank you. It's my new Betta that's torn. I just don't get why, I've taken out the plants just in case but they were silk. Actual slivers of his fins have even come off onto the bottom of the tank!!! He's got 3 splits right through his fins too.

I read Stress Coat is good for healing.

I always wonder why there are so many myths going around, especially when it comes to Bettas? Stress Coat is a dechlorinator which happens to smell nice. Melafix and suchlike are tea tree oil and don't do anything.

If there is no fungal damage or fin rot, good quality water is your best bet. If there is fungus or fin-rot, general improvement of water quality with a real medication.
