Strange Particles In The Water

So there doesn't seem to be an answer for the cloudy water. I too have very small particles suspended in my water, they are about the size of brine shrimp eggs. I have had fish tanks all my life and never had this problem before. Now I have doubled the size of my tank...45 gallon to a 90 gallon. I'm also using a Marineland 350 canister filter w/ dual bio-wheels. In the past I've used undergravel and spill in filters combined and had sparkling clear water in just a few hours after setting up the tank.I've had this tank set up now for about a month and the water is still cloudy. I also have tried the stress coat this time, where as in the past a de-chlorinater was the only thing I ever added. Hope somebody comes up with an answer to the particle problem!!!

Check inside your canister filter (and biowhels for that matter) for debris. If that's the problem, clean them out, and stop using anything but dechlorinator.

Also make sure your filter inlets aren't sucking debris from the substrate.

The picture that you posted in your second post looks like a green water algae culture to me. It would be great for raising daphnia but most people find it objectionable. Try cutting back on the light exposure of your tank. I think you are inadvertently growing green water algae. It does not harm fish in any way but it is a bit unsightly.
