On AqAdvisor i've put my details in and ended up with this:

Am I working this out correctly lol? Seems weird to me!

Tank: Hexagon Aquael 60L
Filter: Built in standard filter.
Measurements: 43cm long x 38 cm wide x 60cm high.

x3 Guppy
x1 Marble Molly
x1 Platy
x5 Helequin Rosbora
x5 Amano Shrimp
x3 Assassin Snails

Result: Your aquarium stocking level is 48%.

Does that sound correct lol? :\

its measured in gallons and inch's not cm is that why
i just tried your specs with those fish and it said overstocked with only 3 guppy lol that site must be wrong

I used a converter to change cm in to inches, sorry I copy and pasted the details from the website I brought the tank from and it's in cm lol.

i just tried it with your specs and aqadvisor said over stocked with only the 3 guppy so i think its wrong computer malfunction

Lol 60Ltr can't cope with 3 guppys, oh no!!

The site that you are using is at best the collective thoughts of people on several sites. Although we are fairly certain that we have an experienced membership here, that is not true of all of the sites that the calculator draws on. I am a member of several of the other sites and have seen some very dodgy advice on some of them. The calculator has been built by a person who has no real knowledge of fish but has a fair knowledge of databases. I am sorry to say, from my own knowledge of databases, that the calculator is little more than a perfect example of GIGO, garbage in garbage out. If our own experts in various areas had been the source of the information, it would be a passably good reference, but unfortunately I find the lack of knowledge disgusting on some of the source forums the author of the calculator has used. I go to those forums only to do my best to try to set people on the right course, not to learn anything.

Going with my tank info on the first post, how much to let's say 100% am I from being fully stocked for that fish tank on a rough guess, any one know?

I'd like to add more small fish to make the tank look fuller, but I wouldn't if I'm close to over stocking.

Lists of any small fish I could add (if I have the room!) would also be nice,

If any one has any info or suggestions, please say

Hi, yeah totally agree with oldman I know the guy has tried hard with it and its a good tool sometimes but there are some flaws with it.

With regards your stocking, 60liters is 15 US gallons which I find best to use as guidance.

The list you provided was

x3 Guppy
x1 Marble Molly
x1 Platy
x5 Helequin Rosbora
x5 Amano Shrimp
x3 Assassin Snails

So what I would consider doing in a 15g is maybe take the molly out and bump up the harliquins to 8 the extra three will improve confidence of such a tight schooling fish and 3 small fish wont hit the bio load that much. And then in the place of the molly would be 3 sparkling gourami, reason Ive said take the molly out is because they get a bit bigger than the guppies and platties and can sometimes get a bit boistrus compared to the other fish and also when they are on their own I think they tend to get a bit frustrated due to lack of the opposite sex...

3 x Guppy - make sure they are all male
3 x Sparkling Gourami
1 x Platy
8 x Harliquin Rasbora
5 x Amano Shrimp - maybe consider cherry shrimp, a bit smaller than Amano and once they start breeding you will have a good colony in there over time
3 x Assassin Snails

I used to have cherry shrimp, but I think I put them in abit soon as they were still quite young, so they got ate! so I wen't for the bigger shrimp, had no problems with them .

The Harliquin Rasbora do look great in the tank, so I was hoping that I could get a couple more of those

I've just been looking at the Dwarf Gourami, and it look's like I wouldn't be able to keep more than one of these in my tank as they are xtremely aggressive with their own kind?

I'm currently waiting for some one off these forums to get back to me about collecting my Platy and Molly so i'll have a little exta room for new tank mates

Would a Dwarf Gourami be ok in my tank with the current stocking? Or would I be best to wait till my Platy and Molly get picked up for a new home?

I said sparkling or pygmy gourami not dwarfs Pygmys are a blue silver speckled fish quite small and stays near the surface. If the molly and platty are going few more options opened up, but all my ideas clash with guppies lol. I was going to suggest a school of chilli rasbora or sparow rasbora fantastic nano fish and would look good against the harliquins and pygmy gouramis and thought they would work with guppies I worry about space..... or dwarf cichlids but worry they wouldnt do well with the guppies.

But then again guppies arnt my thing so never really considered what mixes specifically well with they and I just worry their tails would be targets for some fish.

A sparkling gourami is a very small fish. They are much smaller than the "dwarf" gouramis. A sparkling gourami is the same size or a tiny a bit smaller than an adult platy.
