Looks good Laura! A lot more interesting colours than the ones on Google Images! That's a good tip Robbo, I'll definetely bear that in mind when I have a look at them in my LFS.
 
I'm not sure I'd want any fry - is it safe to get two of the same sex? Are they difficult to sex?

They are quite easy to sex really, the males have longer first 2-3 sections on their dorsal fin, the females have more rounded dorsal. But pet shops usually sell immature specimens so they will be hard to sex at a young age. As for fry it depends on what other fish you have in your tank, im pretty sure my pim pictus cats suck up any fry they might have, but I havent ever actually seen any fry, just eggs.
Other people may have more experience in that area.

The females are pretty too so 2 females would be fine im sure. You also have a large enough tank for 2 males so either pairing will be fine.
