I've got my 20 gallon long fully cycled, and have had zebra danios in it for a while. 4 of the 6 died in the first week, but the last two have been going strong for the last week or so. I want to get rid of those last two danios so I can have my water temp a bit higher (how should I get rid of them?), or I could get their numbers back to 6 and then keep them. Not sure on what I'm gonna do yet. I have two different stocking lists, here they are.
Stocking 1:
2x Bolivian Ram
Ghost shrimp (I'll try and keep their numbers between 10-20)
6 zebra danios (might choose something else, ideas?)
Mystery snail (already have him)
FishForums.net says my filtration is 124% for this
Stocking 2:
1x Bolivian Ram
Ghost shrimp (same thing)
12x Neon tetras
Mystery snail
FishForums.net says my filtration is 134% for this
Now, these lists are all fine and dandy but I want some action down near the gravel. I love cories, but I have flourite, and I don't want to change to sand. I like kuhlis, but I'd have to drop some of these other fish. Any suggestions?
Tank specs:
20 gallon long aquarium
17 watt 8000k bulb with a decent reflector
Marineland Penguin 150 Biowheel filter
Heater (can't remember the wattage or brand. Topfin I think. It has more wattage than I need)
Bogwood, plenty of hidey-holes in it
Pretty heavily planted with jungle val, hygro, anubias, anacharis, and a skinnier val (can't remember which)
Flourite substrate
Ammonia and Nitrite 0, Nitrate generally around 15-20.
GH is around 8 degrees, KH is I think 100 or 150. pH is 6.8.
So tell me what I should do! I'm open to suggestions.
