Stocking In A 300+ltr Tank?

Hi all, picked up my new tank friday at last and spent the best part of friday night and saturday cleaning in all inside and out as it was really minging!

have filled it up with water now and decorated it and in the process of setting up one of helterskelters eheim 2028 filters.

so i am pondering on what to stock it with?

I have 1 x tiger barb and 1x cherry barb to go in without fail as my old tank is going to become a guppy love nest.
i really want to get a couple more of the above and maybe something for the bottom as i have sand so any advice on suitable tank mates would be appreciated.
